Pregnancy Pillow

Having a baby can be one of the most rewarding experiences that a woman can ever go through, and the nine months of pregnancy is not the least of it. However, it does come with a few side effects that can really drive you crazy. Cramps, terrible back aches and lack of sleep are just a few of these, but there is something that can help take care of these problems, at least to a certain extent. A pregnancy pillow can help a lot.

So what exactly is a pregnancy pillow? It is a long, curved pillow, rather like a curly sausage, that gives enough support to your back and your neck while letting you curl up in a semi fetal position, which is the most comfortable position for most pregnant women. A pregnancy pillow will support your growing belly and your lower back, as well, letting you sleep in comfort, and stay asleep - and, best of all, letting you wake up without your back killing you.

Once you see that one pregnancy pillow helps a lot, you might want to consider getting one more. Two can be perfect for a good night's sleep - one to support your stomach, and the second for your lower back, to make sure that you do not roll over during the night.

A pregnancy pillow is also a great option as a traveling pillow. It is also designed to help you keep your knees elevated when you sit, helping another of those annoying pregnancy side effects - swollen knees. Even while you are sitting down at home, since swollen knees become worse as the day draws to a close and thus can affect your sleep, using the pillow is a great option.

Even after your baby is born, these pillows make great, comfortable nursing tables.

While these pillows are called pregnancy pillows, they are not just meant for pregnant women. They can help anybody's posture, and most back aches are because of bad posture, so this is a good investment to make for anybody at all.

There are even such pillows available in junior size, for children. Children usually love hugging something when they sleep, and this somehow more often that not means that they hug their pillow and do not rest their heads on them. This can lead to disturbed sleep. These pillows, in junior size, can give them a pillow they can sleep on and hug at the same time.
